The 'Watch What Happens Live' host, who is a father to Ben and Lucy, cites his mother Evelyn as the reason why he decided to stop showing his children's faces on online platforms.

AceShowbiz - Andy Cohen has spilled the reason behind putting his children's faces away from social media. When discussing himself "figuring out the line between sharing and oversharing," the "Watch What Happens Live" host revealed that his mother Evelyn Cohen influenced him to make the decision.

The 55-year-old TV personality, who is a father to 4-year-old son Ben and 1-year-old daughter Lucy, talked about his decision to stop showing his kids' faces on online platforms in a new interview published on Wednesday, November 29. Speaking to Today.com, he said, "I'm figuring it out as I go."

Andy went on to spill, "My mom is really on me about it." He recalled, "She's really like, 'You have to stop.' She was very vocal about, 'OK, you can't show Ben anymore. When are you going to stop showing Lucy?' "

The Bravo executive explained, "The last time I showed Ben's face (on social media) was when I got my star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And Lucy, I'm teetering towards not showing anymore." On the reason why, he stated, "I just feel funny about it. People need to understand that my kids are not me and they didn't sign up for this."

During the chat, Andy also revealed that his children have helped him in ignoring unpleasant comments on social media. He shared, "If I go on Twitter at any given moment, it's a battlefield about politics, or people telling me that I messed up a show completely, or that I'm this, that, or the other."

"But Ben today, I was like, 'Ben, I love you.' He goes, 'However many stars there are in the sky is how much I love you.' And I'm set for the day," he continued. "I don't give a f**k what anyones saying about me on Twitter. This little boy loves me for as many stars as there are? The rest doesn't really matter!"

Elsewhere in the interview, Andy spilled that he and "Real Housewives" cast members like to discuss their children. "One of the unexpected joys of my time with the Wives is that now, when we're on breaks from reunions, we're sitting there waiting, getting touched up and stuff, and we all talk about our kids and about parenting. It opened up a portal to the way they parent that I never used to care about very much, frankly," he shared.
