AceShowbiz - Mariah Carey made people's jaws drop with her performance at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards. Surprising the audience, the singer kicked off the holiday season by offering a festive performance of her Christmas hit titled "All I Want for Christmas Is You".

On Sunday, November 19, the 54-year-old songstress, who donned an all-white outfit, entertained the audience members at the awards show, which took place at Culver Studios in Culver City, California. In a new video from the event, she could be seen appearing on stage from above as she was slowly being dropped down by a ski lift.

Mariah then stood up and waved one of her hands to the audience before approaching a standing microphone and starting to sing "All I Want for Christmas Is You". While delivering the hit, a number of dancers on wheels were gliding around her. She was later joined by two other dancers, who showed off their dancing skills behind her.

In the meantime, Mariah's two children, twins Moroccan and Monroe, were cheerfully dancing and clapping their hands as they sat on wooden chairs on the same stage. While Moroccan was sporting a black tee, white bomber jacket and a pair of black pants, Monroe looked chic in a beige sweater, white-and-red outer and a pair of white trousers.

Near the end of the performance, snow began falling from above, prompting the audience members to cheer. Later on, the "Vision of Love" singer blew a kiss to the crowd after waving her hands at them one more time.

Following the eye-catching performance, Moroccan and Monroe presented Mariah with the Billboard Chart Achievement Award for her hit "All I Want for Christmas Is You". In her acceptance speech, she stated, "Billboard has been an integral part of my life for a very long time now."

"Even though I don't acknowledge time, I kind of have to admit that some of my most memorable times in my career are connected to Billboard and the BBMAs," she went on to say. "One thing I really have to say that I'm really grateful for is the fact that my fans have been here with me through the hits, through the misses, the No. 1s and the Bubbling Unders."
