The Grammy Award-winning femcee, who previously announced that she was stepping away from social media, clarifies that she never said anything about taking a break from music.

AceShowbiz - Cardi B is not taking time off despite rumors. Setting the record straight, the "WAP" hitmaker declared that she's taking a hiatus from social media, not music.

"I never said I was taking a hiatus… I'm just continuing with my social media break like I have been for the last few weeks," the 31-year-old femcee wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday evening, November 16. "not sure why that's causing such a ruckus. BG ya know where to catch me!"

Back in September, Cardi informed her online devotees that she would be stepping away from social media. "I feel like people on social media are f**king crazy and bananas, and I feel like they gonna drive me crazy," she said during a Twitter Spaces stream.

"There's a whole bunch of people that was in the f**king slow class, and y'all not gonna make me motherf**kin' feel like y'all," the wife of Offset continued. "They ain't gonna make me feel like them, so I just have to get the f**k off this s**t."

That month, Cardi also confirmed that her long-awaited sophomore album isn't coming this year. "You know what? I was indecisive but I was like, you know what? I should already start talking about the album because I'm going to be putting it out very soon," she began while making an appearance on "Ebro in the Morning".

"But it's like I have to watch it because I always feel like somebody watching me - it's going to come out when it's going to come out," the Grammy winner further elaborated. When asked whether the album would arrive before Christmas, Cardi replied, "I can say that; it's not going to come out this year."
