The sports organization puts the 74-year-old former Olympian on blast for repeatedly using the R-word on her X account, which was previously known as Twitter.

AceShowbiz - Caitlyn Jenner has been criticized by the Special Olympics. The sports organization put the former Olympian on blast for repeatedly using the R-word on X, which was previously known as Twitter.

"Words matter. Do better, Ms. Jenner," the non-profit organization, which is dedicated for people with intellectual disabilities, told Page Six in a statement on Friday, November 17. "Special Olympics has worked tirelessly to eradicate the use of the R-word, and your repeated use of it is being seen by millions of your social media followers."

Special Olympics also invited the former "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star to "attend any event" from one of its 200 programs across the globe. It hopes that through participation, the reality TV star can "learn more about how to be an advocate for inclusion" after interacting with Special Olympics athletes.

For the record, Caitlyn, who won a gold medal in the decathlon at the 1976 Olympic Games, once attended a Special Olympics event in 1979. Additionally, the "I Am Cait" alum spoke at the 1985 Special Olympics in Park City, Utah. "I get more out of it than the kids do. It makes you put things in perspective," Caitlyn said at the time.

The statement came after Caitlyn was mercilessly trolled for misspelling the slur. "I'll say it RETARTED!" she replied to Donald Trump Jr., who complained that the word is no longer "a big part of our vernacular" as it was when he was "growing up." She added, "Excuse me… R****DED."

The misspelling didn't get unnoticed by fans. "Misspelling that word specifically is so goddamn funny," one person joked. Another wrote, "Heaux, are you dumb?" Someone added, "Learn how to spell it first, maybe?"

"the jokes really do write themselves," one other noted. Another comment read, "Perfect. No notes."

Despite the trolling, Caitlyn didn't remove the misspelled tweet. The 74-year-old even poked fun at herself, writing, "Omg I immediately respelled it properly in the comments. epic ironic fail, I get it."
