AceShowbiz - Cassie appeared to have been supported by her friends following her lawsuit. Shortly after accusing Sean "P. Diddy" Combs of rape, abuse and sex trafficking, the "Me & U" songstress has her pals, including Aubrey O'Day, come in her defense.

Aubrey publicly voiced her support for her fellow artist Cassie in a new interview. Speaking to Page Six, the 39-year-old former Danity Kane singer did not hesitate to declare, "I'm in complete support of her."

In addition to the interview, Aubrey made use of her Instagram page to show her solidarity with 37-year-old Cassie. That same day, the OnlyFans model uploaded via Instagram Story a screenshot of a headline about Cassie's allegation leveled at Diddy. Over the snap, she penned, "Been trynna tell y'all for years. Prayers up for this queen @cassie," adding a hands up in the air emoji.

In a follow-up Story, Aubrey stated, "One day yall are gonna put some respect on my name when I tell you things. Thank you!" She was replying to a message that read, "@aubreyoday called it! He was wanting them nda signed by all his old artists for a reason!"

Giving a similar yet different take was another Danity Kane singer Dawn Richard, who made use of X, formerly known as Twitter, to voice her support for Cassie. In a tweet published on Thursday, she stated, "Praying for Cassie and her family, for peace and healing." She went on to gush, "You are beautiful and brave," adding a red heart emoji.

Recently, Cassie slapped Diddy with a lawsuit, accusing him of rape, abuse and sex trafficking. In legal documents, she claimed that he raped her back in 2018, forced her to perform sexual acts with sex workers as she was given drugs and alcohol "in excessive amounts" as well as physically assaulted her. All of those reportedly happened after meeting him in 2005/2006 and signing "a ten-album deal" with his record label in February 2006.

However, Diddy quickly shut down the allegations. Calling them "baseless and outrageous lies," his attorney Ben Brafman said in a statement, "Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations." Ben added that the lawsuit aims "to tarnish Mr. Combs' reputation and seeking a pay day."

Aubrey and Dawn themselves had working experiences with Diddy. In 2005, they were chosen by the rapper to be the members of Danity Kane on "Making the Band". They later signed to his record label Bad Boy Records. However, in October 2008, he announced that Aubrey had been kicked out.
