Years after claiming that she 'didn't like' her lips looking 'fake,' the 'Take My Breath Away' songstress confidently strikes a pose with her 'pouty lips' appearing glossy from her pink lipstick.

AceShowbiz - Jessica Simpson has found herself in hot water over her "pouty lips." Shortly after sharing a new photo featuring her lips which appeared bigger, the "Take My Breath Away" singer faced backlash from social media users, including one who deemed the big lips unnecessary.
On Tuesday, November 7, the 43-year-old singer's never-before-seen photo was uploaded via Instagram by the official account of @jessicasimpsonstyle. In the snap, which was captioned "a late Autumn love affair with paisley," she proudly flaunted her pouty lips that were covered in glossy pink lipstick.
Jessica was striking a pose in a brown crop top that came with two long sleeves and colorful patterns all over it. While showing off her tummy, she donned a pair of long blue wide leg jeans with small brown embroideries.
To complete the look, the "I Wanna Love You Forever" songstress put on a pair of brown open-toe platform high heels, massive hoop earrings, a number of rings and a bracelet. In addition, her long blonde hair was styled into loose waves and parted in the middle.
It did not take long for the post to be flooded with negative online responses. In the comments section, one Instagram user penned, "I love love love Jessica but those over pouty lips aren't necessary! Just my opinion but they are a distraction from her true natural beauty," adding a red heart emoji.
The criticisms did not end with one comment. Another joined in, "She use to be so pretty and now omg what happened to her after her and [Nick Lachey] divorced she let herself go." In the meantime, a third asked, "Her lips look too big! Why mess up what God gave you?"
Despite the backlash, a number of the "I Think I'm in Love with You" singer's devotees couldn't help but shower her with praise. Among them was one fan who exclaimed, "You look healthier," adding red heart and flame emojis.
Previously, Jessica declared that she disliked when her lips "looked fake" to her. In an interview published by Glamour back in 2006, she stated, "I had that Restylane stuff. But it fades, it went away in like four months. My lips are back to what they were. Thank God! It looked fake to me. I didn't like that."
