AceShowbiz - Timbaland has come under fire over his recent comment about Britney Spears. The record producer found himself being dubbed "disgusting" for saying Justin Timberlake should put a "muzzle" on her.
The 51-year-old made the comment during the October 29 live interview with 9th Wonder at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. When addressing the pop star's new memoir, "The Woman in Me", in which she dropped the bombshell about her ex, Timbaland said, "I wanted to call and say, 'JT, you gotta put a muzzle on that girl.' "
Many have since called out Timbaland on X, formerly Twitter. One person in particular argued, "If you see Timbaland talking s**t about Britney Spears it's because she refused to work with him in 2006 after he begged her to work with him. She chose Danja instead and was executive producer of her own album, making history with 'Blackout'."
"Timbaland saying that Justin Timberlake should have put a 'muzzle' on Britney is actually INSANE considering Britney has been treated like a caged animal for the past 13 years," another user fumed. "Timbaland saying that Justin Timberlake needs to put a muzzle on Britney is so disgusting. This coming from a man who was in love and obsessed with a 17-year-old to the point that he married his ex wife because she looked like her. Justin is grown & can handled his f**k ups," someone else commented.
The criticism continued with one writing, "Timbaland said justin timberlake should put a 'muzzle' on Britney Spears knowing was being silenced for OVER 13 YEARS! Timbaland still bitter Britney rejected him 2 work on her album like MIND U tim and jt worked together to humiliate Britney! THE AUDACITY." A different indivudal penned, "Time to delete @Timbaland music off my phone! Do better sir!"
