Jenna Bush Gushes Over 'Special' First Dinner With Parents and Sister After One Decade

Speaking to her 'Today With Hoda and Jenna' co-host, the TV personality recalls celebrating her parents' anniversary and her mother's birthday with an intimate dinner.

AceShowbiz - Jenna Bush Hager could not help but gush over her recent meet-up with her parents and twin sister. On "Today With Hoda & Jenna", the co-host of the TV program talked about having dinner with just former President George W. Bush, former First Lady Laura Bush and Barbara Bush for the first time in ten years.

In the Monday, November 6 episode of the show, the 41-year-old TV personality spoke to her co-host Hoda Kotb, "We went to dinner just the four of us and what we realized is, I don't think we've been just the four of us in almost 20 years." She quickly clarified, "That's an exaggeration but let's just say a decade."

Jenna went on to explain, "I have had a husband for a long time, we've had children for 10 years, Barbara has had boyfriends and husbands, et cetera, et cetera." She continued, "There was something about it that was really special to be just the four of us. Really special. No distractions, we had the best time."

The "Read With Jenna" podcast host additionally recounted, "And then we went and all got in bed. My dad was watching some sort of football game and my mom opened her presents, and then we went to bed at 8:45." She added, "Anyway, it was so much fun. We had the best time. We ate so much queso and tacos."

On Sunday, November 5, Jenna uploaded via Instagram a series of photos from the dinner. One of the snaps captured her in one table with her parents and sister, who was sitting next to her. Another snap saw her parents smiling from ear-to-ear to the camera. In the particular snap, her mother appeared to have been presented with a birthday cake and candle on it.

Along with the heartwarming pictures, Jenna wished her mother a happy birthday in the caption of the post. "Happiest birthday to our darling mama! We so happy to get to spend the night with you just the four of us! We love you so! @laurawbush," she penned. She went on to exclaim, "AND happiest 46 years to our parents. Love you both!"
