AceShowbiz - Rebecca Romijn appeared to have chosen silence following John Stamos' offensive remark. Upon learning that her former husband deemed her "devil," the host of "The Real Love Boat" allegedly refused to respond to the former "Scream Queens" star's claim.
Speaking to Page Six on Friday, October 27, a source revealed the reason why the 50-year-old reportedly chose not to speak out on John's revelations when he was promoting his memoir titled "If You Would Have Told Me". The source spilled, "She doesn't want to give John any more oxygen or attention and help him sell more books."
The source added that Rebecca chose to do so "because she has 14-year-old twin daughters, Charlie and Dolly, with her husband, Jerry OConnell." The source continued, "[Her children] are teens and can read articles online."
Previously, John called Rebecca "devil" and admitted that he "hated" her during their painful divorce. "In my mind back then, she was the devil, and I just hated her. I couldn't believe how much I hated her, and it ruined my life," he told PEOPLE on October 18. "You start thinking, it's like, 'Oh, she wasn't the Devil. Maybe I was as much to blame as her.' "
The "[f=Big Shot]" star further stated during the interview, "It was very much the opinion that she dumped me because her career was going great and mine wasn't, and that's humiliating. I don't blame her for it. It was just the perception that people took, and maybe they weren't wrong. She was doing great at that time and I wasn't."
In the meantime, John appeared to have claimed in his book "If You Would Have Told Me" that Rebecca cheated on him during their marriage. "Betrayal starts as a sinking feeling in your stomach, grows into a suspicion that clouds your every thought, and by the time you find out the truth, it's uniquely horrible at first but also expected, like you've been waiting for something bad to happen. There's nothing more to say," he penned.
Not stopping there, the former "Fuller House" star alleged that the "Endangered Species" actress treated him in a bad way. "She implies, sometimes subtly and sometimes openly, that I'm not smart enough for her and her entourage of ass-kissers," he wrote.
Rebecca and John tied the knot back in 1998. The former couple separated in 2004 and finalized their divorce a year later. In 2007, Rebecca wed Jerry, with whom she shares two children together. Meanwhile, John married Caitlin McHugh Stamos in 2018. They have 5-year-old son Billy together.
