The 'Raising Hope' actress' new sighting marks her first since her estranged husband and 'That '70s Show' alum was expelled from Scientology following his rape conviction.

AceShowbiz - Bijou Phillips looked strained when she was spotted in a new public outing in California. The actress' sighting marked her first since her estranged husband Danny Masterson was expelled from Scientology.
In pictures obtained by Daily Mail, Bijou dressed casually during a grocery shopping in Santa Ynez, California. The 43-year-old opted for a light pink long-sleeve top and denim shorts that she paired with gray Birkenstock sandals and a black shoulder bag.
The former socialite went make-up free for the out and about. She was also joined by a female friend. As for her dark blonde tresses, she let them fall down to her shoulders in curls.
Her grocery run arrived after Danny, who received a 30-year sentence in prison after being found guilty of raping two women, was expelled from the Church of Scientology following his rape conviction. It was said "That '70s Show" alum's family and friends had to cut ties with the actor.
The Church of Scientology also declared Danny as a "suppressive person," who is defined as someone whose behavior seeks to impede the spiritual progress of those around him. An insider, however, claimed that the church was innocent of all accusations.
Bijou, who remained by Danny's side through his June 2020 indictment and May conviction, filed for divorce from the actor at a court in Santa Barbara, California on September 18. On the reason behind the split, she cited that there were "irreconcilable differences" in her marriage to Danny. She, meanwhile, listed "TBD" (to be determined) as the date of the separation.
She also asked for spousal support and full legal as well as physical custody of their daughter Fianna. Later in October, the disgraced actor agreed to hand over custody of Fianna to the "Raising Hope" star.
A report claimed that Bijou submitted the divorce papers after she got warnings from her inner circle. An insider revealed at the time, "Recently, friends and family have told her to be a mom first and to consider divorce because it really shows her daughter that eventually people need to be held accountable for what they do, even if it is someone they love."
"Bijou also is doing it to protect her assets and protect her future," the insider added. "She doesn't want to lose money and land and housing over a future civil lawsuit against Danny."
