In a new episode of 'Kelly Clarkson Show', the 'Behind These Hazel Eyes' singer claims that NFL commentators are 'just talking about gossip things' instead of 'the play.'

AceShowbiz - Kelly Clarkson has reacted to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's budding romance. In a new episode of "The Kelly Clarkson Show", the "Behind These Hazel Eyes" singer compared the NFL game to the "Real Housewives" series due to coverage on the "All Too Well" hitmaker and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end's alleged new relationship.

In the Friday, October 20 episode of her talk show, the 41-year-old host and guest Bowen Yang were talking about a recent episode of "Saturday Night Live", in which Taylor and Travis made a surprise appearance. During the chat, she appeared not amused by the two's romance interfering with the NFL.

"I heard too recently, I didn't get to see it but I've heard everybody talking about it when Taylor surprised and Kelce was on there as well," Kelly stated. "Was that, I mean, 'cause that's hilarious how the commentators. It's not hilarious how it is literally taking over the NFL for people that like watching sports now."

"It's like you're watching 'Housewives' while you're watching," the former coach on "The Voice" went on to say. On the reason why, she pointed out, "They're just talking about gossip things. And you're like, 'So what about the play?' " She added, "But they're taking over."

Kelly was not the first one who publicly voiced her thoughts on the NFL's reaction to Taylor and Travis' romance. Giving a similar yet different take was Dave Portnoy who called out the NFL for obsessing over the matter. "This is nuts. The NFL is simping for Taylor," Dave simply penned via X, formerly known as Twitter, on October 1.

Taylor and Travis have sparked romance rumors for more than one month. The "Blank Space" songstress and the athlete have been spotted hanging out together since early September. Not stopping there, she even attended a number of the Kansas City Chiefs' games to support him.

On September 24, Taylor sat next to his mother Donna Kelce during the Chiefs' game against the Chicago Bears at the Arrowhead Stadium. Meanwhile, she watched the Chiefs vs. the New York Jets game at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey with Blake Lively, Sophie Turner, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and Shawn Levy on October 1. She later cheered on Travis with his mom Donna again during his team's game against the Denver Broncos at the Arrowhead Stadium on October 12.
