During her appearance on 'The View', the 58-year-old supermodel also discusses the differences between the modeling today to what it was back in the '80s.

AceShowbiz - Linda Evangelista is not a fan of Photoshop. During her appearance on "The View on Thursday, October 19, the supermodel didn't hold back when talking about using filters and retouching for photo shoots.

"Well, I have a pet peeve. A big one," the 58-year-old beauty said on the talk show. "I think post-production is the devil. I think filters and retouching are the devil." The catwalk star, who admitted to getting Botox, further compared the modeling today to what it was back in the '80s.

She recalled, "When, back in the day, when we did a photograph, yes we cheated. We tied our belts so tight and then put Coke cans in the back to cinch our waists." She added, "We held reflectors to take out the bags [under our eyes]. They didn't retouch the photo. We did it perfectly on set and what you saw was what you got."

As for today's modeling, Linda said, "Today, it's like, no matter what happens on set - like, a button will pop off and they'll say, 'Don't worry, we'll put it on later.' Your eyelash will be hanging off and they're like, 'Don't worry, we'll fix it later.' "

Linda's criticism against Photoshop came after she got candid about the cosmetic procedures that she went under. In 2021, the model filed a lawsuit against a cosmetic surgery company after allegedly being left "brutally disfigured" and deeply depressed following a botched surgery.

"To my followers who have wondered why I have not been working while my peers' careers have been thriving, the reason is that I was brutally disfigured by Zeltiq's CoolSculpting procedure which did the opposite of what it promised," she wrote on Instagram at the time.

She revealed that she underwent two "painful, unsuccessful, corrective surgeries" only to get her fat cells "increased, not decreased," adding that it left her "permanently deformed." Concluding her post, she wrote, "I am moving forward to rid myself of my shame, and going public with my story. I'm so tired of living this way. I would like to walk out my door with my head held high, despite not looking like myself any longer."
