AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian made headlines after she made a huge mishap during a TikTok Live with her daughter North West. During the livestream, Kim incorrectly told the 10-year-old that the Palestine flag showing up in the comments section is the Brazilian flag.
"What is that flag?" North, whom Kim shares with ex Kanye West, asked her mom when people commented with several emojis of the Palestine flag and "Free Palestine". After taking a long moment, Kim explained, "That's Brazil. 'Cause we're talking about all the soccer stuff."
After the clip went viral, Internet users appeared to have mixed responses to Kim's blunder which many believed to be intentional. "she couldve said thats a palestinian flag instead of brazil without going into details but ofc to them palestine doesn't exist," one Instagram user blasted the SKIMS founder.
"All she had to say was this it's the Palestinian flag, she didn’t have to explain anything to her in graphic detail," someone else echoed the sentiment. A third commenter added, "The second tweet doesn't even make sense? She coulda just said it's Palestine and moved on, nobody expected her to talk about the war."
However, some others thought Kim made the best decision by keeping the information about the Palestine-Israel conflict from her kid. "What was she supposed to do, tell a 10 year old that babies are being bvrned alive and hospitals being b0mbed? She did the right thing by shifting her attention. She doesn't need to explain a war to her child on a live stream to the whole internet," someone defended "The Kardashians" star. "People should leave kids out of this one," another urged.
"she could just be protecting her," one user opined. One other, meanwhile, wondered if the incorrect information was really on purpose, saying, "I wonder though did she do it to avoid telling her or does she actually not know?"
