"I can't say that this stuff doesn't matter," Timothee weighed in on celebrity culture in a wide-ranging GQ interview published on Tuesday, October 17. He went on to say, "Because my intense fandom has led me to where I am."
Writer Daniel Riley then coyly referenced the actor's romantic relationship with Kylie by asking if he "really wanted to be left alone he might not spend time with one of the four most followed people on Instagram." To that, the "Call Me by Your Name" actor responded with a laugh.
The Oscar nominee said, "This reminds me of that recent 'South Park' episode with the Worldwide Privacy Tour," referring to the animated show's February episode in which it mocks Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. "Sometimes, people are going to be hella confused when you say you're trying to live a private life."
After months of dating rumors, Timothee and Kylie, who is known for sharing her life on TV alongside her famed family, confirmed their romance with a PDA-filled concert date at Beyonce Knowles' "Renaissance World Tour" in Los Angeles on September 4. The "Dune" actor and "The Kardashians" star were snapped making out at the music event.
The lovebirds continued to flaunt their romance when they were seen attending a fashion week dinner together and the 2023 U.S. Open, where they were photographed getting cozy with each other. The two were also pictured kissing during the game.
Not stopping there, the lovers took their romance to Paris. While attending Prada's Paris Fashion Week show, Kylie, who shares daughter Stormi and son Aire with ex Travis Scott (II), accidentally revealed that she had a cuddly photo of him and Timothee as her phone's lock screen. Despite their numerous sightings together, neither of the stars has commented publicly on their romance.
