In a now-deleted Instagram Story video, the 'Gangsta' singer implores fellow industry peers to use their voice and platform to raise awareness of the ongoing conflict between Palestine and Israel.

AceShowbiz - Kehlani made use of her social media account to call out fellow celebrities who remain silent on the ongoing conflict between Palestine and Israel. In a now-deleted Instagram Story video, the singer implored stars to use their voice and platform to raise awareness of the matter.
"To my peers and people that are in the spaces I'm in, what the f**k is wrong with y'all?" she questioned in the clip, which was originally shared on Friday, October 13. You're being silent for the sake of money and business like that amounts to what the f**k is going on."
She added, "There's an insane amount of unchecked privilege on literal f**king display. It is gut-wrenching; it is disgusting."
After she took down the post, the "Gangsta" singer explained her decision in separate slides. "I've only deleted posts when someone close points out something potentially not actually aligning with what they know i mean or feel, not because s**ts changin up," she penned. She later showed solidarity with Palestine, writing, "it's free palestine till it's backwards."
In the next post, the "Night Like This" songstress added, "it's the way there isn't actually much of anything more important going on in humanity than this right now. This is an everybody issue. If you're just swiping thru stories and kissing your teeth, saying 'thoughts and prayers'. Ask yourself why u aren't enraged… infuriated. I hope you feel ridiculous reading this."
Kehlani earned mixed responses over her social media posts. Some Internet users believed that the war between the two Middle Eastern countries wasn't a simple matter that anyone could share their two cents on. "Staying silent on things they're probably not that educated on is a good thing to do," one noted. "I think some people just don't want to get into politics," someone echoed the sentiment.
Some others, meanwhile, agreed with Kehlani. "Kehlani is a real one please everyone educate yourselves into what's happening Israel is committing a war crime they have been condemned by the UN what they are doing is a genocide an ethnicity cleansing of innocent Palestinians," a supporter wrote. Another said, "She's spot on. They are committing a genocide on the Palestinians. God bless this queen for her bravery."
