AceShowbiz - Lil Wayne had a special announcement for fans on his 41st birthday. To celebrate his latest milestone, the "No Love" rapper took to social media to reveal the tracklist for his upcoming album, "Tha Fix Before Tha VI".
On Wednesday, September 27, the emcee shared the cover art of the project on his Instagram page. Among the tracks to be featured on the new set are "Act Up" ft. Jon Batiste, "Birds", "Slip", "Kat Food", "Tuxedo" ft. Euro and "Chanel No. 5".
The Young Money founder, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., also confirmed the album's release date in the caption. "Tha Fix Before Tha VI – 9/29," he simply penned.
Wayne first teased "Tha Carter VI" in August 2022 during the "Young Money Reunion" tour in Toronto, Canada. Toward the end of the performance, Wayne, who stood onstage with fellow Young Money superstars Drake and Nicki Minaj, told the cheering crowd, "I'm working on Carter VI, coming soon!"
Soon after Wayne announced the news of the forthcoming album, a huge screen appeared behind him that read "Tha Carter VI." Hours later, he shared a video on social media. "What up, y'all, Tunechi here. Thank you. [I] ain't s**t without you," he sadi, addressing his fans while sitting in the back of a luxury sprinter van.
Wayne further stated, "I'm not sure if you heard, but Carter VI is on the way!" He captioned his post, "THA CARTER VI IS ON THE WAY."
