AceShowbiz - Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner have reunited amid their divorce battle. The "Yellowstone" actor and his estranged wife were spotted together publicly for the first time since their split for a deposition.
On Saturday, August 19, the estranged couple was photographed arriving at a law office in Santa Barbara, California. The exes, who share children Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13, arrived separately.
For the outfit, the 68-year-old kept it casual in a white button-down shirt, tan pants, sneakers and sunglasses. His former spouse, in the meantime, wore black wide-leg pants, a red short-sleeved top and heels.
Kevin and Christine called it quits in May after 19 years of marriage. Despite having a prenuptial agreement in place, they have been locked in a dispute over issues including finances, child support and their family home.
Recently, Kevin claimed Christine has been doing her best to "delay" the process. "Christine has only thrown roadblock after roadblock up in an unjustified effort to avoid answering this discovery," he wrote in court documents obtained by Us Weekly magazine earlier this month.
The Hollywood star is seeking financial sanctions against his ex for allegedly failing to respond to the discovery requests he sent in May, which he explained were designed to "elicit her contentions as to the validity" of their pre-nuptial agreement.
Kevin insisted he and his legal team were looking for a "very basic discovery" in regard to the "facts, documents and witnesses supporting her contentions" of their divorce. However, Christine was allegedly indulging in "gamesmanship" after she "steadfastly refused" to reveal her contentions and alleged she "cannot admit or deny that she understood" their prenup.
"Christine asserts she cannot admit or deny that she understood the Premarital Agreement because she (and apparently all of her attorneys) do not understand the word 'understood.' This is gamesmanship of the worst sort," said the documents. " 'Understood' is not a technical or arcane word. It is not ground for objection that a request is ambiguous, unless it is so ambiguous that the responding party cannot in good faith frame an intelligent reply."
