Prior to this, the 'Only Murders in the Building' actress appeared to shut down beef speculation by penning a sweet birthday shoutout for her longtime friend, who recently turned 35.

AceShowbiz - Everything is apparently good between Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa. In a new interview with TMZ, the "Grown-ish" alum, who recently turned 35, was asked about the sweet birthday message from the former Disney darling.

When asked if Selena called her on her birthday, Francia appeared to give a vague answer. "You guys are so sweet. I got so many great birthday messages. I really, really appreciate everyone," she told the paparazzo.

Feeling that her response didn't answer his question, the cameraman pressed her by asking once again, "Did Selena call you? Are you guys on good terms now?" To the inquiry, Francia noted, "There's no beef, guys." However, she refused to confirm whether she and the recipient of her kidney donor used to have beef or there's never been any beef at all.

Francia's new interview came after Selena posted on Instagram a sweet birthday shoutout for Francia, who donated her kidney for Selena back in September 2017 following Selena's complication due to her lupus. Posting throwback photos of her and the birthday girl, the "Only Murders in the Building" actress called her longtime friend a "special human being."

"Happiest of birthdays to this special human being," Selena wrote in the caption. The "Lose You to Love Me" songstress further declared her loyalty to Francia as adding, "No matter where life takes us, I love you. [a heath emoji] @franciaraisa."

Feud rumors between Selena and Francia first emerged in November 2022 when Selena told Rolling Stone magazine that she only had Taylor Swift as a friend in Hollywood. At the time, Francia unfollowed Selena on Instagram. Selena, meanwhile, wrote underneath a TikTok video that broke down the drama, "Sorry I didn't mention every person I know."

Francia further fueled the falling-out speculation as she dodged questions about her friendship with Selena earlier this year. Asked in April about where she stood with the "Wolves" songstress, she simply said, "Sunday is so fun … I'm Francia, I'm hanging out with my dog." She once again deflected when she was asked if she remained in touch with the singer/actress. "It's a good day isn't it?" she asked back.
