AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may not be the best neighbors. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex allegedly snubbed an elderly neighbor who tried to give them a gift after they moved into their mansion in Montecito, Calif., in 2020.

Frank McGinity, an 88-year-old U.S. Navy veteran, claimed that he lives close by the couple. He recalled in a chapter of his memoir "Get Off Your Street" his visit to their home soon after they moved in to give them some films he has made about the history of the area.

"I have a big house next to Harry and Meghan's property and I live in the guest house while renting the main house out on Airbnb," he said, according to the Montecito Journal via the Independent. Frank, who said that he lives just a "tiara's toss or two" away from the couple, noted that Harry and Meghan live on old McCormick property.

However, he was met with a disappointment. In the book, Frank added, "I went up to their gate with the films on a CD, but they weren't interested. The gate guy turned me away and wouldn't take the film, just saying 'they're not interested.' I was trying to be neighborly."

"We don't see them very much around here. It's surprising they came here. People are typically older. It's where the elephants come to die," he went on to pen.

The new report arrived after it was said that Meghan and Prince Harry were planning to move from Montecito to Malibu. "They love their life there. But it feels a bit remote and removed from the city. She loves being by the beach, which is why she and Harry decided to move to Montecito. Nothing has been decided yet but moving to Malibu is definitely on their radar," a source told Us Weekly.

A second source claimed to the outlet that the former "Suits" actress and the British prince, who have Archie, four, and two-year-old Lili together, "fell in love with the area" after staying in a friend's rental home over the last two summer seasons and are said to be "casually house hunting" in the area.
