Noticing a food truck being engulfed in flames while out and about with his twin daughters, the 'Stand By Me' actor jumps in to help stop the fire from spreading.

AceShowbiz - Jerry O'Connell has shown the heroic side of himself. On Sunday, July 16, the "Stand By Me" actor noticed that a food truck had burst into flames in Malibu, California, and did not think twice in offering his assistance.

The 49-year-old actor was unveiled to have helped a number of sheriff's deputies in moving away propane tanks near the burning truck by a law enforcement source through TMZ. In pictures shared by the outlet, he could be seen trying to keep the fire from spreading.

The source further revealed that Jerry, who at the time of the incident was out driving with his 14-year-old twin daughters, also scaled a fence to grab a fire extinguisher. He reportedly stayed until the Fire Department of Los Angeles County arrived to take over.

Jerry's brave action was credited for preventing an even larger disaster since another gas can was already on fire and the flames were spreading to a field around the food truck. While the food truck was unsalvageable, sheriff's deputies managed to pull a man out of the vehicle.

This was not the first time Jerry helped in fighting fire. Back in 2003, the actor, who shares Charlie Tamara Tulip and Dolly Rebecca Rose with wife Rebecca Romijn, was involved in battling a wildfire with a group of firefighters in a place near the San Bernardino mountains, close to where he lived at the time.

Heroic gesture aside, Jerry once attempted to find his wife a gift for their 15th wedding anniversary. In June 2022, he told Entertainment Tonight, "I actually already purchased an above moderately priced piece of hardware. It has a stone in it. It's not the cleanest stone, but I mean, I tried. I tried."

During the chat, Jerry also talked about being left amazed that he and Rebecca managed to stay together for over a decade. When asked about his plans for their wedding anniversary, he confessed, "We haven't thought really about it because I think we're both shocked that we made it this far. We're still getting over just the shock of still being married."
