Blaming 'ageism and misogyny' for hateful comments on the Queen of Pop, the comedian says she hates how 'people are already piling on' the singer for being ill.

AceShowbiz - Kathy Griffin has shown her support for Madonna, who is still recovering following recent hospitalization, by defending her against haters. Making use of her TikTok account, the comedian has blasted trolls who are making fun of the singer's current health woe.

Kathy weighed in on the hateful comments against Madge in a video posted on Wednesday, June 29. Admitting that she doesn't know the Queen of Pop personally, she began by saying, "I don't know what's going on with Madonna. I don't know, but I love her and I want to defend her. I've never met her. I've seen her in concert, of course, because I'm a gay man."

"...and I think she has provided the world with decades of music and entertainment, 'Evita', [and] film performances," the 62-year-old said in regards to Madonna's long list of credits in music and movies. "I don't like how people are already piling on and sort of making fun of her being, obviously, quite ill or collapsed [and saying], 'She'll be fine.' We don't know anything yet."

Blaming those hateful comments on "ageism and misogyny," the stand-up comic added, "Sorry, but as a 62-year-old chick, I deal with it all the time - and she's freaking Madonna." Kathy, who revealed her lung cancer diagnosis in 2021, continued, "So, I don't care about her fillers, they're gonna go away if she feels like it or not, I care about her health. I'm glad she can go back on this tour, and the tour is the greatest hits and she should be great."

Madonna's manager Guy Oseary revealed on Wednesday that she was rushed to the hospital after she was found unresponsive over the weekend. "On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several day stay in the ICU. Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care," he said via Instagram, while announcing the postponement of her much-anticipated "Celebration Tour".

On Thursday, BBC reported that the "Frozen" songstress is "home and feeling better" after her discharge. Additionally, a source told CNN that she had been transported to her New York City residence via a private ambulance and was now "in the clear."
