AceShowbiz - Charlie Puth has been exposed for sliding into Hannah Berner's Instagram direct message. While speaking with Paige DeSorbo on their podcast "Giggly Squad", the former "Summer House" star revealed that the "Attention" singer sent her a message when she was engaged to her fiance Des Bishop.

In the Tuesday, June 27 episode of the podcast, the 31-year-old first spilled, "The guy who DM'ed me before my bachelorette party was Charlie Puth." She went on to unveil what the singer said in the message, "He wrote, 'I like you.' " She further explained that she received the message when she was "sitting on the couch" one day before she flew to Miami for her bachelorette party in April 2022.

Upon knowing she got a text from the singer, Hannah did not take long to contact her bestie Paige, who is also the co-host of the podcast. In response, Paige joked and told Hannah, "Whatever you're down for, I'm down for." Hannah additionally shared her thoughts about Charlie, "He does seem nice."

Hannah continued, "Not my traditional type … but I just took it as a compliment from an artist seeing another artist. I think he was saying he likes my work." She further spilled that she "never opened" the direct message, guessing that Charlie does not know until now that she saw his text. "But I wanna say publicly - Charlie thank you, but I am a taken woman," she added.

The two friends went on to talk about the "funniest thing about" the message. They said that both of their mothers "are obsessed" with Charlie and wanted to "f**k" him. Paige recalled, "My mom saw him in one interview and was like, 'He just seems so nice!' " Hannah jokingly added, "Even though I'm not available, both our mothers wanna f**k you."

Charlie's surprising direct message to Hannah seemed to not have any impact on her romantic relationship with Des. On May 13, Hannah and Des celebrated their wedding anniversary. Earlier in June, the couple flew to France for a getaway together.

In the meantime, Charlie himself has not made a comment about the DM he sent to Hannah. Since his break-up with his ex-girlfriend Charlotte Lawrence in 2019, Charlie has not publicly announced being in a romantic relationship with someone. About his split from Charlotte, he said in a March TikTok video, "I never told people what happened to me and the pain that I went through going through the worst breakup of my life in 2019."
