Ike Turner Jr., the son of the late singer and her ex-husband Ike Turner, has been detained at the Brazoria County Jail since his arrest in May, weeks before his mother's death.

AceShowbiz - Ike Turner Jr. has reportedly spent more than a month in jail after an arrest for crack possession. The son of Tina Turner and her ex-husband Ike Turner was arrested on May 6, weeks before his mother's passing on May 24.
According to PEOPLE which was first to report the arrest, Ike Jr. was pulled over at a traffic light on 200 N. 6th St. at 12:09 A.M. for equipment violation because the headlight or taillight was out while driving a white 2013 Ford Fusion. When officers went to speak with him, he reportedly attempted to consume the narcotics in his possession.
"He tried to eat the drugs before the officers could seize them from him," Capt. Q.T. Arendell of the Alvin Police Dept. wrote in the incident report. The police ended up seizing nearly two grams of crack cocaine and just under one gram of methamphetamine.
Ike Jr.'s passenger, Jessica Salinas-Esquivel, is also being charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Ike Jr. has been detained at the Brazoria County Jail since his arrest and has not posted his $70,000 bail, Page Six adds.
Ike Jr. is the biological son of Ike Turner and his former girlfriend Lorraine Taylor. Tina then adopted Ike Jr. at a young age. He worked as Tina's sound engineer following his mother's split from her abusive ex-husband, but it didn't last long. "When my mother and father separated, he did not want me working with her - and he beat me in the head with a nickel-plated .45 pistol," so he claimed.
In 2018, Ike Jr. revealed he hadn't talked to the "River Deep - Mountain High" singer in over a decade. "She's the only mother I've ever known," he told Daily Mail. "But I haven't talked to my mother since God knows when-probably around 2000."
Ike Jr. has not released a statement on her mother's passing.
