AceShowbiz - Bam Margera is heading in the right direction. The former pro skateboarder has reportedly gone straight to Lamar Odom's rehab facility after he was released from a psychiatric hospital, where he was placed on a 5150 hold.
The former "Jackass" star was released from psych hold on Wednesday, June 7 and Lamar was there to greet him as he exited the hospital, sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ. The stunt performer is said to be in detox at one of Lamar's locations now before he heads to rehab at another spot owned by the former NBA star.
Bam agreed to check into Lamar's rehab facility after the latter showed his intent to help the former. On Tuesday, the former husband of Khloe Kardashian visited the troubled TV personality in the hospital and offered him to stay at one of his facilities amid his times of trouble.
Insiders noted that the former MTV star was "receptive to going to rehab" and "hugged it out" with Lamar in the meeting. Bam said he was very hopeful as he cited his son Phoenix as his motivation to get his life back on track. Lamar reportedly told Bam he'd do everything he can to get him treatment.
Lamar has opened 3 drug treatment centers after his own battles with addiction in the past. He's got Gold Bridge Addiction Center in Louisburg, KS, Wavelengths in Huntington Beach, and Project West in San Diego.
Bam was placed on a psych hold following his disappearance on Sunday, June 4. His brother Jess Margera declared that he was missing after Bam texted "heartbreaking dark s**t" to his family. Jess wrote on Twitter on Sunday, "If anyone in the LA area knows of bams current whereabouts or a hotel he might be at please call the LAPD immediately."
Hours later, Jess divulged that Bam was found safe. "They found him safe, he texted me and my parents at 6 am this morning saying he loves us he loves Phoenix and he is 'at peace' and that he took enough pills to stop his heart. And some really heartbreaking dark s**t. Thanks to everyone who shared info today," Jess explained.
It was reported that cops tracked Bam to a Trejo's Tacos location in L.A.
