In a new interview, Kevin Hunter Jr. claims that the former 'The Wendy Williams Show' host's team has been taking advantage of her instead of helping her with her alcoholism.

AceShowbiz - Wendy Williams' son Kevin Hunter Jr. is concerned about her mom's health condition. In an interview with The Sun, Kevin claimed that the former "The Wendy Williams Show" host's team has been taking advantage of her instead of helping her with her alcoholism.

"I know there are all sorts of things happening that I know in her right mind she would never agree to," he told The Sun. "As hard as it is seeing her being taken advantage of, I know that if I'm making sure she, as a person, is okay, that is the important thing."

Kevin later shared that he hopes his mother will finally realize what's going on. "Eventually, she's going to realize the craziness that's been going on," he told the news outlet. He also confirmed that Wendy was hospitalized last month, noting that he learned the news from Wendy's jeweler whom he says hasn't contacted him in months.

Kevin, whom Wendy shares with ex-husband Kevin Hunter, pointed out how it was odd for her jeweler to contact him about the matter because his mom has a publicist and guardianship assigned by the court. "What's been made more important by the people around her is that while her health may not be great, she needs to keep on earning income, and in my opinion that should not be a priority at all," he said, adding that all her team cares about is money. "And whoever has been hired they are taking advantage of someone who needs to get better."

In the interview, Kevin expressed his concern about Wendy's avid alcohol use. "And it's gotten to a point where yes, it could have that effect that it might be fatal because it affects her way worse than a normal person since it stays in her system," he explained.

While Kevin confirmed Wendy's recent hospitalization, her rep denied rumors that Wendy, who has autoimmune condition Graves disease, checked into a New York facility. "I can confirm that Wendy Williams is not in the hospital, as reported. I can also confirm she is not in New York, as reported," Shawn Zanotti said last month.

The denial came after it was reported that Wendy was in medical care and briefly left the facility before checking back in almost straight away. A source said, "Wendy first went into the hospital about two weeks ago. She was released briefly last weekend, and she went right back in."

A second insider claimed that Wendy's family was aware she had been hospitalized as they insisted she was not in a rehabilitation facility. The source said, "All I know is she is in the hospital right now, and it's not rehab. I don't know which hospital."
