Comparing the 'Anti-Hero' singer's latest relationship with the British rocker to her past romance with Tom Hiddleston, a source claims that it's just 'a summertime thing.'

Following report that the Grammy winner's relationship with the British rocker has "fizzled out," a source says that it's just "a summertime thing" and "no big deal" to begin with.
"Everyone who really knows her has been saying all along that this was a fun, good time thing that would last as long as it lasted and would be no big deal once it was done," the so-called insider tells Page Six after news of their split was first reported by TMZ on Monday, June 5.
"It's all stupid," the source says of the media frenzy surrounding the former couple. Likening Taylor's brief romance with The 1975 frontman to her past relationship with actor Tom Hiddleston, the source says, "She will not be writing albums about this one. It was a summertime thing. Does everyone have amnesia about Tom Hiddleston? Jesus Christ."
The source goes on noting that the 33-year-old singer/songwriter "can't have a good time with anyone without the press marrying her off to them." The insider defends her, "Then when she moves on, they have to basically have her file for divorce."
The insider further claims that Taylor was just looking for fun time after "stifling" relationship with Joe. "She's allowed to let off some steam and sew some oats afterwards without people claiming first that she's 'head over heels' and then that she's 'breaking up' with the guy. It's not a breakup. It's a natural evolution of a fun little thing whose moment is over," the source explains.
Another source similarly tells PEOPLE, "She had fun with him, but it was always casual." The source then confirms, "They are no longer romantically involved."
Meanwhile, Entertainment Tonight previously reported that Taylor and Matty parted ways due to incompatibility. "Taylor and Matty broke up. They are both extremely busy and realized they're not really compatible with each other," shared a source. "Taylor's friends want what's best for her and aren't shocked that their relationship fizzled out since she recently got out of a long-term relationship."
News of Matty and Taylor's alleged romance first broke in May, just weeks after it was reported in April that she and Joe called it quits after dating for 6 years.
