AceShowbiz - Farrah Abraham has blamed sinusitis for her "puffy face." Upon receiving negative comments about her different appearance, the former star of "Teen Mom" set the record straight and claimed that sinus inflammation has affected the way she looked.

On Wednesday, May 31, the 32-year-old made use of Instagram Story to let out a video of her explaining the reason behind her puffy face. In the clip, she said, "Hey all as it is my birthday I just wanted to say I have been having a puffy face because I have sinusitis, which is a chronic debilitating situation."

Farrah went on to explain the process she underwent to get the diagnosis. "So you get allergy shots, you get steroids in order to be diagnosed with sinusitis. Usually it takes a year for your doctor to understand that that's what it is," she dished. "So I'm actually going under surgery next week after my birthday."

The reality TV star further clapped back at those sending unpleasant comments. "So thank you to others who are saying negative things and not being educated on the matter and most of us suffer from sinusitis and do not know that that's what is affecting our eyes, our cheeks, our whole nasal area, and so that is just what has happened," she sarcastically stated. "Our sinuses give out."

This was not the first time Farrah was hit with negative comments about her unrecognizable look. Back in August 2022, she faced a similar issue after posting a TikTok video documenting her time in the kitchen with daughter Sophia Abraham. In the comments section of the video, one critic wrote, "Omg! I didn't even recognize Farrah! Holy work done."

Another chimed in, "Farrah been sleeping next to a bees nest." A third bluntly stated, "Jump scare, did NOTTTT realize this was Farrah until I heard the voice." A fourth asked, "Omg Wth happened to Farrah." Meanwhile, a fifth penned, "It took me a while to realize who these people were," and a sixth questioned, "Who was your doctor?? so we all know who not to go too."
