AceShowbiz - Shakira may not be jumping into a relationship anytime soon after her messy split from Gerard Pique. The Columbian star was recently linked to Tom Cruise, but it doesn't seem that she's ready to mingle.
A source spills to Heat Magazine that the "Hips Don't Lie" hitmaker was "flattered" that Tom took an interest in her after hanging out together at the F1 Grand Prix in Miami. Despite that, it was said that mom of two is not planning to pursue a relationship as of now.
"She doesn't want to embarrass or upset him, but there's no attraction or romance on her part - she was just being friendly," the insider claims. The source adds that the "She Wolf" songstress "still had a great time hanging out" with the "Top Gun: Maverick" actor earlier this month.
Another source similarly told Us Weekly in a previous report. Referring to her two sons with Gerard, the insider said that the "Waka Waka" singer "has a lot on her plate and is focused on her kids and career for now."
Rumors that Tom and Shakira might develop a romantic relationship emerged after they showed off great chemistry as they were snapped having an interesting conversation at the Miami Grand Prix on May 7. "He is extremely interested in pursuing her. There is chemistry. Shakira needs a soft pillow to fall on, and that could be Tom," a source previously said to Page Six. The source added that Tom is "a nice-looking guy and he is talented. And she isn't taller than him."
In addition to being romantically linked to Tom, Shakira sparked romance rumors with Lewis Hamilton after the two were spotted enjoying a boat ride together. In one of the snaps from the outing, Shakira was captured accepting Lewis' assistance while getting onto a luxury vessel. Once they were on the watercraft, they were all smiles, chatting and giggling. The group of friends allegedly sailed through Biscayne Bay.
However, it was later revealed that the fun-filled outing was just a friendly gathering. It should be noted that they were also joined by some other friends including fencer Miles Chamley-Watson.
