After a video emerged of the 'Awwsome' hitmaker and his manager being detained at gunpoint by police, it reportedly stems from an incident where he allegedly pulled a gun on his girlfriend.

AceShowbiz - New details of Shy Glizzy's latest run-in with the law have been uncovered. The rapper was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly pulled a gun on his girlfriend and threatened to harm her.

On Sunday, May 14, a video surfaced of the Southwest emcee and his manager being detained by police at gunpoint in Sherman Oaks, California. Now, TMZ reports that the arrest stems from an incident involving his girlfriend on Saturday.

Shy was arrested on Saturday following a verbal altercation with his on-and-off girlfriend which escalated to the point where the rapper grabbed a firearm and made a threat, police say. It reportedly occurred on a public street around 9 A.M. on Saturday and he took off after the argument.

West Hollywood Sheriff's Deputies somehow got involved and a criminal report was made. Shy was eventually tracked down by 6 P.M. that day and arrested on a felony charge of making criminal threats.

Police reportedly did not find a gun on Shy when he was arrested and he denied ever threatening his girlfriend, whom he has reportedly been dating on and off for 4 months. Records show he was released after about 4 hours behind bars on a $50,000 bond, while the case remains under investigation.

The girlfriend, whose identity has not been made public, has since filed documents asking for a restraining order against Shy. The hip-hop star has not commented on the arrest report.

In the video, which went viral on Sunday, a man was seen raising his two hands while standing behind a car. Another man was seen lying face down next to the car on what looks like the parking lot, while police officers surrounded them. Some of the cops were seen carrying guns as they gave instructions from afar.

Earlier this year, Shy was accused of sexual misconduct by OnlyFans model Bri. She claimed he pressured her to take an unknown drug while on the set of his music video "White Girl". After they wrapped the shoot, Bri said he demanded oral sex. When she declined, he allegedly told her that she would not get paid for her appearance in the music video.

Shy later denied the allegations. "I ain't got no relationship with her. What type of relationship am I supposed to have with her? I'm an artist; is it my job to pay motherf**kers? I come on set just how everyone else come on the mothaf**kin' set. That ain't my mothaf**kin job," he said, before adding, "It's not true. I don't even know where a n***a like that...I've been in this s**t too long. You ain't never heard no s**t like that about me. I'm a player."
