Jonathan's attorney later revealed the text messages that the accuser sent to him following the altercation to prove his innocence. In the texts, she said, "Please let me know you're okay when you get this. They assured me that you won't be charged. They said they had to arrest you as protocol when they saw the injuries on me and they knew we had a fight. I'm so angry that they did. And I'm sorry you're in this position. Will make sure nothing happens about this. I told them it was my fault for trying to grab your phone."
In the wake of his arrest, it was reported that Marvel Studios may replace Jonathan with another actor as Kang the Conqueror in future MCU films. Industry insider Jeff Sneider said on "The Hot Mic" podcast that young talent like Damson Idris would be the "kind of actor" the studio is looking at if "Jonathan Majors [gets] the boot as Kang."
