AceShowbiz - Shakira and Tom Cruise has been linked romantically since they were spotted chatting at Formula One Miami Grand Prix. However, fans of the "Hips Don't Lie" singer were not happy to hear the news so they warned her to not date the "Top Gun: Maverick" actor.
One Twitter user in particular declared, "SHAKIRA! LISTEN TO ME! HE'S TRYING TO RECRUIT YOU INTO SCIENTOLOGY! DON'T GO OUT WITH HIM! LISTEN TO ME! SHAKIRA!!" Another penned, "Run Shakira, run!"
A third chimed in, "sis needs to protect her jam bc the scientologists are after it." Someone else made a reference to her song by quipping, "Girl nooooo. His hips and lifts lieeeee."
During their meet-up, Tom and Shakira were seen standing close to each other as they chatted. Following the event, it was unveiled that Tom "is extremely interested in pursuing her. There is chemistry."
A source then additionally told Page Six, "Shakira needs a soft pillow to fall on, and that could be Tom." Explaining more on the speculative statement, the insider further pointed out that Tom is "a nice-looking guy and he is talented," plus, "she isn't taller than him."
Shakira might feel the opposite though. A source revealed to Us Weekly, "Shakira had a great time hanging out with Tom at F1 but she has no interest in dating him... He was really nice, and she enjoyed his company, but she isn’t focused on dating him or anybody else at the moment. She has a lot on her plate and is focused on her kids [Sasha, 8, and Milan, 10] and career for now."
Tom was previously married to Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes. He shares 30-year-old Isabella and 28-year-old Connor with Nicole and 17-year-old Suri with Katie. As for Shakira, she was in a relationship with Gerard Pique for 11 years an shares 10-year-old Milan and 8-year-old Sasha together.
