AceShowbiz - The name of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky's son has finally been uncovered. While the first-time parents have been keeping details of their baby boy a secret despite having shown his face to public, it now has been revealed that they are paying tribute to a Wu-Tang Clan member with their firstborn's name.
According to Daily Mail which has obtained a copy of Rihanna's son's certificate of live birth, the boy is named RZA Athelston Mayers. The little one was apparently named after producer and rapper RZA, the leader of the Wu-Tang Clan.
Meanwhile, the baby's middle name was taken after Rocky's middle name. The New York City rapper's real name has been listed by multiple outlets as Rakim Athelaston Mayers, but the birth certificate mentions his middle name as Athelston.
The certificate of birth also reveals that Rihanna gave birth to her son at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on May 13, 2022 at 10:58 A.M.
While the extent of Rihanna's fandom for RZA isn't clear, she seemed to have hinted at her baby's name in the past. Back in April, when she and her boyfriend stepped out for dinner at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, she wore a Wu-Tang Clan top.
Rocky, meanwhile, has had a connection with the hip-hop collective, which is regarded as one of the greatest and most influential groups in hip-hop history. The "Peso" rhymer previously collaborated with Raekwon from the rap group on the 2015 song "Fly International Luxurious Art".
Rihanna and Rocky, who have been dating since 2021, are currently expecting their second child together. She revealed her pregnancy by showing her baby bump while performing at the Super Bowl LVII halftime show back in February.
In the same month, Rihanna's dad Ronald Fenty told Page Six that the couple had gone through a "few names" for their first child.
