The former couple, who got engaged in 2013 before splitting in November 2020, reportedly wants Ericka Genaro's lawsuit to be moved to a private arbitration.

AceShowbiz - Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis are working together to dismiss their former nanny's wrongful termination lawsuit. The exes reportedly want the lawsuit to be moved to a private arbitration.

In court documents obtained by Page Six, the former couple claims that Ericka Genaro's wrongful termination lawsuit was improperly filed in California as a civil suit when it should have been filed in New York. "It is unfortunate that this private matter continues to play out in the press," the pair said in a statement on Thursday, May 4.

"Our focus has been and will continue to be to steadfastly protect our family in the face of harassment of any kind. We are confident that the evidence brought forward will affirm our position to summarily dismiss this case and bring our family peace," it continued.

Ericka claimed in her lawsuit that the pair fired her after she requested to take a three-day "stress leave" due to their crumbling relationship. The nanny noted that once the "Don't Worry Darling" actress and director moved out, she suffered increased stress and anxiety as she had to spend much more time with their children in her absence.

"The pressure of [Ericka] not only being the primary caretaker of the children, but also filling in Wilde's absence for the children, became debilitating," her lawsuit read. Ericka, who worked for the pair from 2018 until 2021, is seeking punitive damages, attorney's fees and cost of the lawsuit.

However, Olivia and Jason denied that Ericka was fired. In a joint statement, they slammed Ericka for making false and scurrilous accusations against them.

The pair, who split in late 2020 and have two children together, claimed that she resigned and even offered to help them out for an extra five months. They additionally alleged that they gave Ericka a generous salary and doubled her salary at the end of 2020, prompting her to keep asking for more money.

It was also said that Ericka was upset when Olivia and Jason refused to pay her salary "tax free." They claimed Ericka threatened to "dish" to the media about her time as their nanny for their children.

Ericka did make some bombshell revelations about their relationship. In an interview with Daily Mail, Ericka said that the "Booksmart" director tricked then-boyfriend Harry Styles into thinking she and Jason were over when they weren't actually not at the time. Ericka also revealed that Jasin once threw himself in front of Olivia's car to stop her from seeing the "As It Was" singer.
