In a video message inside the Ole Miss football stadium, the 'Thought You Should Know' singer revealed that the show was canceled because he lost his voice and was unable to perform.

AceShowbiz - Morgan Wallen faces a lawsuit after he canceled his scheduled concert on Sunday night, April 23 in Oxford. According to new reports, a woman filed a lawsuit against the country star as she accused him of breach of contract and negligence.

The Prentiss County woman filed the lawsuit on behalf of all affected patrons "who incurred expenses in connection with Wallen's failure to perform at his 'One Night at a Time Global Tour' at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi."

She also criticized the artist for not canceling the show in a timely manner "in order to mitigate any damages incurred by his patrons." She is seeking compensatory damages and wants her suit to become a class action lawsuit.

Morgan, who performed the night before, announced the cancellation with a video message inside the Ole Miss football stadium which revealed that the "Thought You Should Know" singer had to cancel the show because he lost his voice and was unable to perform.

"Ladies and gentlemen, unfortunately, Morgan has lost his voice and is unable to perform tonight. Therefore, tonight's show has been canceled. Please make your way safely to the stadium exits," the message read. The video message also informed that concertgoers would receive refunds for their tickets.

It wasn't the first time Morgan found himself in controversy. Back in 2021, the singer landed in hot water after a video saw him yelling profanities and a racial slur. "Take care of this p***y-a** m*ther**ker. Take care of this p***y-a** n***er," so he was heard saying.

In response to the backlash, he apologized at the time, saying, "I'm embarrassed and sorry. I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better." Despite the apology, he was suspended indefinitely from his label and his music was pulled by radio stations and streaming services.

Prior to that, Morgan had a run-in with the law while at a downtown Nashville bar. He was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct after getting kicked out of the bar.
