Screen on Bad Bunny's Coachella set

Bad Bunny apologized to Harry Styles over Coachella diss.

At the time, a tweet was featured on the big screen when Bad Bunny was performing "El Apagon". The controversial tweet read, "goodnight benito could do as it was but harry could never do el apagon," insinuating that Bad Bunny is a more versatile artist than the "As It Was" hitmaker.

Following the backlash, a representative for the Grammy-winning artist issued a statement on Monday, April 17. Speaking to Rolling Stone, the rep claimed that Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, did not approve of the message in the tweet.

Sturdy.co, the visual content company that produced the images for his set, also confirmed that Bad Bunny did not approve the dissing tweet, adding that it didn't mean to throw shade at the "Watermelon Sugar" hitmaker. "Our intention is to create light hearted designs that embody Bad Bunny's personality and amplify the experience he presents as a performer," the company shared.

It continued, "The request from the artist during the visuals for 'El Apagon' performance was to use the image only and not text from the tweet, which we take responsibility for and correct it for [this] Friday's performance. These visuals are a celebration of Bad Bunny and his dedication to empowering his native island, Puerto Rico."
