Bad Bunny previously sparked chatter when he appeared to shade Harry while headlining the highly anticipated music festival by displaying an old tweet comparing the two musicians.

AceShowbiz - Bad Bunny's team has responded to controversy from a shady tweet which was displayed during the Puerto Rican musician's Coachella headlining set on Friday, April 14. Fans believed that Bad Bunny was dissing Harry Styles with the tweet, which appeared when he performed "El Apagon".

In response to the debacle, a representative for the "Un Verano Sin Ti" artist issued a statement on Monday, April 17. Speaking to Rolling Stone, the rep claimed that Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, did not approve of the message in the tweet.

Sturdy.co, the visual content company that produced the images for his set, also confirmed that Bad Bunny did not approve the dissing tweet, adding that it didn't mean to throw shade at the "As It Was" hitmaker. "Our intention is to create light hearted designs that embody Bad Bunny's personality and amplify the experience he presents as a performer," the company shared on Monday.

It continued, "The request from the artist during the visuals for 'El Apagon' performance was to use the image only and not text from the tweet, which we take responsibility for and correct it for [this] Friday's performance. These visuals are a celebration of Bad Bunny and his dedication to empowering his native island, Puerto Rico."

Bad Bunny, meanwhile, has yet to comment on the controversy.

Bad Bunny sparked chatter when he appeared to shade Harry while headlining the highly anticipated music festival, which took place in Indio, California, on Friday. During his performance of "El Apagon" from his most recent album "Un Verano Sin Ti", an old tweet was displayed in the screen, reading "goodnight benito could do as it was but harry could never do el apagon."

Fans had mixed responses to the shade. "Lmao bad bunny throwing shade at Harry styles! But did he lie??? Not one bit," one amused fan wrote on Twitter. Another fan similarly said, "bad bunny shading harry styles on the main stage that's enough for me to stan."

However, some others didn't think it was necessary especially after Bad Bunny attended the British star's concert. "Not bad bunny going to a Harry styles concert as a supporter/fan and then trying to tear him down at Coachella Foh I don't like that attitude," one person noted.
