The emcee reportedly gave two Chicago students $50,000 each to attend the HBCU and donated $250,000 to help students hailing from Chicago eligible for Howard's Graduation Retention Access to Continued Excellence (GRACE) Grant.

AceShowbiz - Lil Durk has used his own personal earnings to help students at Howard University. The "Laugh Now Cry Later" was unveiled to have donated a total of $350,000 to some students as he launched the Durk Banks Scholarship Fund with Amazon Music's Rotation.

Durk gave two Chicago students $50,000 each to attend the HBCU. In addition, he donated $250,000 to help students hailing from Chicago eligible for Howard's Graduation Retention Access to Continued Excellence (GRACE) Grant.

Aside from the scholarship fund, the 30-year-old rap star spent $100,000 for 20 high schoolers to visit Howard University this week. According to Billboard, the lucky participants "received the full college experience staying on-campus where they were paired with a Howard student mentor."

Of his generous act, Durk told the outlet, "Change the narrative." He added, "It's stuff we never got a chance to do or somebody never did for us. A lot of people don't do it as far as the music era that we're in."

"In my age range, it's more toward, 'Let's go feed them turkeys, let's go feed them meals,' " he continued. "My team came together where we turned it up a notch. I wanted to come up with something that was different and impactful."

Donation aside, Durk recently revealed that he will be featured on Doja Cat's upcoming album. The emcee gave a hint at his collaboration with the "Say So" songstress via his Instagram Story by sharing an audio file while tagging Doja in the caption which simply read, "rap album."

His Story arrives after Doja declared that she won't make pop music anymore. "no more pop...," she tweeted over the weekend. "i also agree with everyone who said the majority of my rap verses are mid and corny. I know they are. I wasnt trying to prove anything I just enjoy making music but I'm getting tired of hearing yall say that i can't so I will."
