AceShowbiz - Lil Wayne has surprised fans by bringing out Drake at one of his shows. The Young Money founder, who has been on his "Welcome to tha Carter Tour" since earlier this month, invited the "Certified Lover Boy" artist onstage during a stop in Toronto.
Wayne let Drake open his show on Wednesday, April 12. In a video surfacing online, the four-time Grammy winner could be seen walking onstage rocking a black ensemble from head to toe.
Once the crowd recognized him, they erupted in cheers. The concertgoers were quick to record the special moment with their phones.
Wayne kicked off his "Welcome to tha Carter Tour" on April 4 at The Fillmore in Minneapolis. He will make several stops in cities across the United States before wrapping the 28-show trek on May 13 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles.
Prior to this, Wayne showed up at Drake's set at the 2023 Dreamville Festival. 21 Savage, GloRilla and Lil Uzi Vert also surprised fans with their appearances.
The first to take the stage was Glo, who entertained the crowd by delivering her viral hit "FNF (Let's Go)". Uzi came next, rapping two of his biggest hits, "XO Tour Llif3" and "Just Wanna Rock".
Drake later performed a rendition of his 2011 track "The Motto" alongside Wayne. The Canadian rap star then left the stage so the 40-year-old rhymer could perform his tracks "Uproar" and "A Milli".
Before concluding his set at the Raleigh, North Carolina event, Drake brought out his "Her Loss" collaborator, 21 Savage. The two emcees performed two of the album's tracks, "Knife Talk" and "Rich Flex".
