AceShowbiz - Sofia Richie rejoiced over her embracing a new religion ahead of wedding. As she prepared to get married to Jewish fiance Elliot Grainge, the daughter of Lionel Richie revealed that she has converted to Judaism, and called the special day a "magical" one.

On Monday, April 3, the 24-year-old model took to Instagram Story to share the happy news. Letting out a picture that saw herself signing a paper of words written in Hebrew, she gushed in a note over the snap, "What a magical day."

"I want to thank cantor Nathan Lam for helping me along this journey of converting to Judaism," the younger sister of Nicole Richie continued spilling. Further sharing her bliss, she joyfully stated, "It has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. Today was that day!!!"

Sofia was first linked romantically to Elliot in April 2021, just months after she parted ways with Scott Disick. Around a year later, the fashion designer announced that she has gotten engaged to the music executive. In an April 2022 post on Instagram, she shared a photo capturing the moment of Elliot getting down on one knee.

Accompanying the proposal picture was another snap of Sofia sharing a kiss with Elliot. Along with the photos, the sister-in-law of Good Charlotte's Joel Madden gushed in her post's caption, "Forever isn't long enough @elliot."

Before updating fans with her conversion, Sofia has been kept busy with a number of pre-wedding events. Back in October 2022, the social media personality was seen heading to club Raspoutinein in Paris upon leaving Balagan restaurant to celebrate her bachelorette party. She was joined by her sister Nicole at the bash.

Four months thereafter, in February 2023, Sofia had her bridal shower celebrated in California. In the bash planned by her "angel godmother" Shelleylyn Brandler, she was joined by sister Nicole, mother Diane Alexander and other family members. Her fiance Elliot was also seen attending the festivity.
