AceShowbiz - Liam Payne has left his fans shocked after he debuted a starkly slimmed-down face on the red carpet. According to cosmetic surgery experts, the former One Direction member might have taken some cosmetic procedures to achieve his new look.
Celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Ramtin Kassir, who has worked on the likes of Melissa Gorga and Lele Pons, told Page Six, "He didn't look bad before, but his face, instead of looking soft and a little bit chubby, it looks model-ish and rugged." Dr. Ramtin noted that the fillers could have been used to contour the 29-year-old singer's jaw and chin.
Pamela Weinberger, founding injector at Plump Cosmetics, agreed, "His new look is definitely sharper than it was in the past and has a bit of a 'wow factor' for sure with how different his facial structure is looking." Pamela added that the "What Makes You Beautiful" singer may have opted for jawline filler, lip filler, chin filler and regular maintenance botox.
Meanwhile, Dr. Azza Halim, a board-certified aesthetician and functional medicine specialist, said she doesn't think that fillers alone could help Liam achieve such a defined look in the lower part of his face, so she agreed that buccal fat removal likely played a role.
Liam looked noticeably different Thursday, March 16 as he attended his former One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson's "All of Those Voices" documentary premiere in London. The "Strip That Down" singer's jawline appeared sharper than it has in the past and his cheekbones were also more defined.
Fans are both confused and concerned about "what happened" to Liam after his red carpet appearance. "Omggggggg what happened to Liam?" one person commented under an Instagram post of Liam on the event. "Did Liam also got [sic] on the buccal fat removal trend????" someone else asked, referring to a plastic surgery popular among celebrities like Chrissy Teigen that helps thin the cheek area.
"So good to see them together. Liam looks really smart, but so thin. His face is gaunt," one alarmed fan tweeted. Someone else speculated, "Liam Payne has had a full face job , respect it."
