The 'MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)' hitmaker issues a public apology after joking about transitioning by sharing a photo of influencer Glow Princess on Twitter.

AceShowbiz - Lil Nas X has regretted his last post. Having drawn backlash for sharing a "transitioning" joke, the "MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)" hitmaker took to Twitter to issue a public apology.

"apologies to the trans community i def handled that situation with anger instead of considering why it was not cool," the 23-year-old penned in a tweet shared on Tuesday, March 14. "much love to you guys. sorry."

Nas X's mea culpa came hours after he shared a photo of influencer Glow Princess, whose real name is Armanda Tounghui, to his social media accounts. "the surgery was a success," he wrote alongside the snap, suggesting he had undergone gender-affirming surgery.

Many people took issue with the joke though. "you're a gay cis male why are u making transitioning a punchline of a joke," one person in particular replied, to which the emcee responded, "I'm literally just saying she looks like me yall cannot be f**kin serious."

Another user then pressed Nas X, "Why did he have to mention surgery tho." Catching wind of the comment, the "Industry Baby" rapper shot back, "because she has titties? are u dense?"

Criticism aside, Nas X recently hinted that he identifies himself as bisexual. On January 9, the "That's What I Want" crooner asked his fans via Twitter how they'd feel if he explored another side of his sexuality.

"Be fr [for real] would y'all be mad at me if i thought i was a little bisexual," Nas X first wrote. He then followed it up by retweeting an NSFW meme one of his fans shared in response to the question. The meme read, "Better eat your girl p***y before her gay friends do it, f****ts bi AF these days."
