AceShowbiz - Jake Paul has reacted after a video captured him running away from an altercation with Floyd Mayweather, Jr.. The social media personality has challenged the former boxing champion to a one-on-one fight as he claimed that Floyd confronted him with "50 dudes" after an NBA game.

In the viral clip, Floyd and his entourage confronted Jake outside Miami-Dade Arena after they both attended the game between the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night, March 8. Paul, who appeared to only have one bodyguard with him, engaged in a back-and-forth for a few moments while the venue's security guard tried to keep the situation under control.

Unlike his usual cocky attitude that he often shows in front of the cameras, Paul ended up running away from the premise. "Look, he's running! Jake Paul running champ!" someone from Floyd's camp was heard taunting. "Why is he running?"

Following the confrontation, Jake took to social media to address it. "Floyd if you want to fight 1 on 1 we can do that but don't try to hop out of 3 cars 25 dudes deep tryna to jump me while I'm tryna enjoy my Wednesday night," he penned on Twitter.

He went on claiming in a separate tweet, "Floyd will not see me 1 on 1 in a real fight. That's a fact. His team has hit my team numerous times to do one of his 'exhibitions'. Now he ambushes me. Come see me in the ring, real fight, no exhibition robbing fans bulls**t."

Jake challenged Floyd to a one-on-one fight.

Over on his Instagram Story, he detailed the incident from his point of view, "So I'm leaving the Miami Heat game and Floyd Mayweather and 50 dudes pull up out of nowhere, out of like some side alley, waiting for me outside the stadium, and they're like, 'So what's up? What's all that talk now?' "

"I'm like, first of all, what did I say to you, Floyd? I just took your hat and you're still mad about it?" he continued, referring to their altercation at a pre-fight media event in 2021 for Floyd's exhibition match with his brother Logan Paul. He added, "Come on, bro. And then 50 dudes literally start surrounding me to jump me, and I'm out that b***h, ok?"

Jake also posted on his feed several photos from his night out at the basketball game. "my pure speed, athleticism, and 99 awareness rating helped me avoid getting jumped so I can still flick up this fit this morning," he wrote in the caption.

Floyd's camp, meanwhile, explained that the heated moment wasn't about Jake and Floyd's previous fight, but because Floyd believes the 26-year-old made inappropriate comments about his family. "Jake crossed the line. This wasn't about grabbing a hat. This was about Jake's comments to Floyd about Floyd's deceased family member and other below-the-belt inappropriate behavior," a source close to the 46-year-old boxing promoter tells TMZ.
