DJ Black Coffee, whose real name is Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumul, reveals that he heard about Drake working together with Baby from Quality Control Music co-founder, Kevin 'Coach K' Lee.

AceShowbiz - Drake and Lil Baby are reportedly preparing something big for their fans. According to DJ Black Coffee, the "Certified Lover Boy" artist and the "In a Minute" spitter are currently working on a joint album.

Black Coffee made the revelation in the Monday, March 6 episode of "Podcast and Chill With Mac G". During the sit-down, he recalled some of the many celebrity encounters he's had over the years, including one with Quality Control Music co-founder, Kevin "Coach K" Lee.

"I had a show in Atlanta," the Grammy Award winner recounted. "I have a good friend there, Coach K. Coach K is a big player in the hip-hop space. He co-owns Quality Control...But he loves house [music]."

The South African native, whose real name is Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumul, went on to divulge that Kevin invited him to a strip club. "We go to dinner. We got to the club. I play my sets," he detailed.

"He's like, 'We're going to my strip club.' I have never been. And this is what Atlanta is known for. And he said to me, 'Lil Baby and Drake are making an album,' " DJ Black Coffee further elaborated.

Both Drake and Baby have yet to confirm the claim. The "God's Plan" hitmaker, however, has worked with other Atlanta rappers for joint albums. In 2015, he released "What a Time to Be Alive" with Future. In November 2022, he dropped "Her Loss" with 21 Savage.

Following its release, "Her Loss" debuted atop the Billboard 200 albums chart after earning 404,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. The project marks Drake's second No. 1 album of 2022 following "Honestly, Nevermind", which bowed atop the list dated July 2.
