The new episode of the ABC dating competition show also sees Zach sending one woman home during her one-on-one date and Greer joining the group after COVID quarantine.

AceShowbiz - The week before hometowns is always eventful and this episode of "The Bachelor" was no different. A new episode of the long-running ABC dating show saw leading man Zach Shallcross making tough eliminations.

Zach and the remaining seven women were in Budapest for the Monday, March 6 episode of "The Bachelor". Zach had a quick chat with host Jesse Palmer before meeting up with the women. During the chat, he learned that Greer, who had been quarantined after presumably contracting COVID, was on her way to Budapest to join the group. However, he said he's worried about whether their connection would still be there, since he's lost so much time with her.

Kaity got the first one-on-one of the week, meaning she's the first of the group to get a second one-on-one date with Zach. Her date card read, "Let's fall in love in Budapest." Kaity met Zach in town and the pair took a cable car up the side of a mountain, giving them a beautiful view of the city.

While they're enjoying the view, Zach told Kaity that he'd like to get to know more about her as they move toward hometowns, asking her to share more little details about herself. They continued exploring the city and eventually they came across a typewriter where they penned poems for each other. In a confessional, Kaity said that she thinks she's falling in love with Zach, but she's scared to tell him about it.

While having dinner, Kaity said that she's looking for stability from a man, which she's never felt before. She told Zach that she feels safe with him and that she thinks he'd make a great husband.

Kaity went on sharing stories about her family and about losing two father figures that have been tough on her. Zach could be seen comforting her before telling her that he admires the strength it took to share that with him. He later offered her a rose.

The next date card came in, and Ariel, Charity, Gabi and Kat were chosen for the group date, meaning Brooklyn would be getting the second one-on-one for the week. Once again, Kat was upset that Zach didn't pick her, but considering her previous tiff with Brooklyn over taking someone's moment away from them, she simply wished Brooklyn well.

On the group date, the women met Zach at a theater, where they're roped into some sort of magic trick. Apparently, there was a small red heart drawn on Zach's hand. The magician "took" the heart and transferred it to the person who Zach has the strongest connection with, which ended up being Gabi.

When they met Zach later for the group date cocktail party, emotions were running high. Zach arrived and asked for honesty and vulnerability from each of them. Ariel went first, telling him that she has a loving family but she's searching for a love outside of them.

When Zach talked to Charity, she told him that the group date was rough for her. She said she doesn't always trust her own decisions and she hasn't forgiven herself for staying in her previous relationship, but she assured Zach that she's ready for a new relationship with him.

Gabi, meanwhile, admitted that she's feeling insecure after the mentalist told her that she "confuses people," and she's worried Zach might not want to accept her for who she is. He, however, did assure her that he enjoys being around her and he does want to continue getting to know her.

Kat also got a chance to explain herself, saying that things have been hard and she never wanted to leave him but wasn't sure she could continue with the process. Zach then told her he doesn't take an engagement lightly so she needs to let him know if she has doubts.

Unsurprisingly, Gabi got the group date rose, assuring her that he's ready to meet her family. The other women were clearly heartbroken to have not received the rose, but they put on a brave face for Gabi so as not to take away from her moment.

It's time for Brooklyn's date, and Zach said he's excited to figure out where their connection was going. However, before he was able to leave for his one-on-one, Greer was looking to have a conversation with him. It's been nearly three weeks since they've seen each other. Greer said she's ready to pick up where they left off, but Zach told her he isn't sure that there's anything there for him anymore, so he sent her home.

Zach met Brooklyn to ride bikes through town to a hot air balloon. After their hot air balloon, Zach and Brooklyn took a trip to a bathhouse, where they chatted with a couple who has been together for 25 years. During dinner, they dove a little deeper into their conversation with Brooklyn telling him about her family.

Zach then took a step away from the table to think. He became emotional during a confessional, saying that after hearing about how important her family is to her, he's not sure he's worthy of meeting them if he's not feeling completely confident about their relationship. Sadly, he told her that he can't give her the rose and he sent her home.

The women were obviously shocked to see Brooklyn's bags removed from the hotel. They all were nervous going into the rose ceremony as Zach handed out roses to Charity and Ariel, while Kat was sent home.
