Social media users complain that the 'Drip Too Hard' rapper is not the right artist to perform at a children's awards show, though he raps a clean version of 'California Breeze'.

AceShowbiz - Lil Baby's performance at the 2023 Kids' Choice Awards has left social media users reeling. The Atlanta artist became a trending topic following his appearance at the Saturday, March 4 event, with many people calling it inappropriate.

They thought that the Grammy Award winner wasn't the right choice to perform at a children's awards show. Though he rapped a clean version of "California Breeze", many still questioned why he was performing a song filled with sexually explicit lyrics in front of children.

"Kids choice awards haven't been for kids since 2020 when they let DAP be performed," one critic of the annual awards show penned on Twitter. Another baffled user wrote, "Who let Lil Baby perform at the Kids Choice Awards."

A third person quipped, "They took his name too seriously." Another viewer weighed in, "i had to thug it out and watch Selena Gomez & Miranda Cosgrove back in my day ….. BUT TODAY'S KIDS GET TO WATCH LIL BABY PERFORM AT THE KID'S CHOICE AWARDS THIS YEAR ????? Nickelodeon got some explainin' to do frl."

While they were not shocked, another viewer expected different kind of artists performing at KCAs. "Lil baby performing at kids choice award is nothing new...let's not forget city girls were nominated we wanted to watch *NSYNC & [Christina Aguilera]," the said person said.

However, there were a few who thought that there's nothing wrong with Lil Baby's appearance at Kids' Choice Awards. "What's wrong with lil baby performing at the kids choice awards????" one person said.

Another clapped back at the critics, "Y'all worried about Lil Baby Performing at the Kids choice awards but your kids know every word to Glorilla songs and s**t and they are twerking. Ijs like the selective outrage ain't none of this music kid appropriate now a days let's be honest!"
