The 'House of Cards' alum finally addresses what happened between her and her ex-husband in the photos circulating online that showed them at LAX in January.

AceShowbiz - Robin Wright is finally speaking up amid speculation about her relationship status with Sean Penn. Breaking her silence on the reconciliation rumors, the actress addressed why she and her ex-husband were recently seen traveling together.
"We were going to an event for our children," the "House of Cards" alum told E! News about their trip in January. "We're always gonna be a family, whether we're together or apart, you know, and I think that's beautiful and I wish that for everybody."
Robin is grateful that she's able to maintain a friendship with her ex, calling it "a gift." She went on acknowledging, "We know divorce with children is one of the most difficult things in life."
Sean and Robin were seen together at LAX on Sunday, January 15. At the time, the "Mystic River" star could be seen carrying a black backpack while the "Blade Runner 2049" actress walked behind him with a black suitcase. He kept it simple in a casual beige tee, cargo pants, a black jacket and winter boots.
Robin, meanwhile, kept warm in a black turtleneck, jeans and brown boots. The Golden Globe Award winner also brought a white puffer jacket in her arms.
Two days later, the duo were seen together again as they left LAX. It appeared that they have returned from their short trip together.
"They are both single right now and get along great," a source told PEOPLE in late January about the former spouses. Despite enjoying each other's companion, the two stars are not a romantic item as the so-called insider stressed, "Sean has always said that Robin is the love of his life. He regrets many things that happened during their marriage. He really enjoys spending time with her now."
Sean and Robin were married from 1996 until 2010. They share son Hopper Jack, 29, and daughter Dylan Frances, 31, who are both following their parents' footsteps to become actors. Asked by E! News if the whole family may star together in a film in the future, Robin delightfully replied, "Oh my gosh, wouldn't that be amazing? This is a family unit. We've always been a unit, and I hope that we'll always work together, one of us with the other or three of us or four."
