Wiz Khalifa has just released a new song called "Mercury Retrograde". The Sledgren & Chris Dreamer-produced track arrived along with its music video that showcases the rapper's busy life.
The visuals opens with Wiz taking a trip on a private jet alongside his entourage. Upon his arrival in Las Vegas, the emcee heads to a recording studio where he smokes with his pals. He later performs in a concert and hosts an afterparty.
In the opening verse, the 35-year-old spits, "Like an incense, doing everything with intent/ Mercury retrograde got me hella sensitive." He goes on, "Wondering what the mission is, gotta find myself through all this s**t/ Need a d**m b*** to rap wit'/ smoke trees, play Multiverse, and dip."
"Keep the house clean enough as it is/ So when my cleaning lady come over, she never have to have a fit/ Lot of clothes, you can have a fit," the North Dakota-born artist, whose real name is Cameron Jibril Thomaz, continues. "Lot of things you'll never run into if you got a down chick/ And everything gets split/ it ain't no secret, homebody, you can get rich…"
"Mercury Retrograde" arrived months after Wiz dropped his latest album, "Multiverse". Released on July 29, 2022, by Taylor Gang Entertainment and Asylum Records, the rap star's seventh solo studio album consists of 17 tracks, including "Big Daddy Wiz" ft. Girl Talk, "MVP", "We Don't Go Out to Nightclubs Anymore/Candlelight Girl" as well as "Something Real".
In November, the "See You Again" hitmaker treated fans to a music video "Memory Lane", which displays his ex undergoing a medical procedure in which she recalls their past romance. Prior to that, he unleashed the MV for "Keys".
