In a new interview, the 'Love and Hip Hop: New York' star admits that he is just as shocked as everyone else upon learning about the news that Ashley Trowers was arrested for shooting her baby daddy.

AceShowbiz - Rich Dollaz has reacted to the arrest of daughter Ashley Trowers, who allegedly shot the father of her child. In a new interview, the "Love & Hip Hop: New York" star admitted that he was just as shocked as everyone else upon learning about the news.

"I'm baffled as anyone else," Rich revealed to The Shade Room. He also shared that he's "not with Ashley every day" because he lives in Dallas, while her daughter resides in Memphis.

The reality TV star also blasted people who criticized Ashley for working at a Krogers. Instead, Rich stressed it's actually admirable of her to be wanting to make her own way.

"My daughter is a 20-something-year-old with a newborn baby that lived with her man, and she's a grown adult," he said. "I found out Ashley worked at Kroger at the same time everyone else did. I don't think there's anything wrong with my daughter wanting to do it on her own."

"I don't condone shooting, I don't condone violence, I don't condone any of that," he added. "But at the end of the day, I'm never going to be okay with a man putting his hand on my kid, either."

"Being involved in a situation where a man is putting his hands on you is never good," he further stated. "Ashley's a grown woman. She's not a 17-year-old kid living under my roof, she's not an 18-year-old, she's not in college anymore. She's a graduate, she's done with all that, she's on her own."

He also mentioned the shooting case involving Ashley's mother Miracle, who shot her husband back in 2018. "It was a domestic violence situation with Miracle, the same as it was with Ashley," Rich divulged. "Two women were defending themselves, and I'm always going to stand by. Just like when Miracle shot her husband, I stood by her, and I want to stand by my daughter."

It was previously reported that Ashley was arrested in Memphis for allegedly shooting her baby daddy, Demiah Tatum. In the arrest docs, Ashley claimed that Demiah and another man named Mykel Yates approached her in a Cadillac ATS around midnight on Tuesday, January 24, her first day working at the gas station.

Ashley, who claimed that she has a restraining order out against Demiah, said that she ran away after seeing someone in the car trying to get a gun. However, they managed to catch up to her and that was when she fired two shots that struck Demiah, with whom she shares a baby together. Mykel, meanwhile, told police that they were trying to give her some money.

Ashley was taken to Shelby County Jail where she was arrested for aggravated assault. She has since been released.
