The 'I Like It' crooner's 56-year-old mom Angila Denise Baxter, who reportedly suffers from mental health issues, is accused of random shooting of a mother of two in Orlando.

AceShowbiz - Sammie Lee Bush, Jr., known professionally simply as Sammie, has broken his silence on his mother's alleged involvement in a serious crime. The R&B singer has extended his sympathy to the family of a victim in his mom's alleged random shooting.

"In consideration of the recent news, I would like first to express my sincere condolences to the family of Mrs. Collier," the Boynton Beach native said in a statement on Sunday, January 22. He added, "I understand the severity of the allegations, but I do not have any additional information. At this time, I respectfully request privacy for not only my family, but the family of Mrs. Collier. Thank you."

Sammie's mom, 56-year-old Angila Denise Baxter, was arrested on Tuesday, January 17 by the Orange County Sheriff's Office for her alleged involvement in the January 12 shooting death of a woman named Nekaybaw Collier, a Florida mom of two. She is charged with second degree murder in the fatal shooting.

Reports say Angila allegedly shot a firearm at random cars and vehicles passing her across different parts of Orlando on January 12. An arrest affidavit shows Angila shot at or into at least three vehicles (across Orlando), one of them being a black 2015 Mercedes Benz, belonging to Nekaybaw.

Nekaybaw was struck by a single bullet in the left abdomen. Police found her in her wrecked car on North Powers Drive and rushed her to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Nekaybaw's husband Kevin Moore says his wife was on a grocery run, just a mile away from her home when the incident happened. He shared, "My younger daughter thinks mommy is coming back from the store. It’s hard to explain that to a child."

Angila appears to be suffering from mental health issues. According to officials, she admitted to firing her weapon in different areas across Orlando, but claimed that she did not know Nekaybaw or the owners of the other cars she hit. Angila reportedly claimed she was being chased by multiple people and reacted in self defense.

Police said they have a witness who not only identified Angila, in a photo lineup, as the person "shooting at cars," but the witness claimed she was also "screaming expletives at random people in the area."

The Orange County Sheriff's Office has since issued a statement following the death of Nekaybaw. They said, "We extend our deepest condolences to Nekaybaw's family for the senseless killing of this young mother, wife, and daughter."

Angila was booked into the Orange County Jail and is being held without bond.
