Before dropping the album, Anuel unleashed several singles, including "Mercedes Tintia" and "La 2blea". In an interview with Big Boy, the rap star explained that it was a strategy to catch listeners' attention.

"There's a lot of big artists - a lot of big, legendary artists right now in their prime," he said of his competition. "How do I start the wave again [after being gone since LLNM] with so many artists in the way right now?"
